Benefit Big Easy
The new Benefit Big Like shooting fish in a barrel Multi-Balancing Complexion Perfector, $38

This morning I woke up feeling like this…

What the wha?!
What the wha?!

…because of this.

Yup, just call me TBK (Two Beer Karen), LOL!

Nosotros took that out-of-town friend of El Hub's who stayed with the states last night to a local brewery hither in Novato called Moylan'due south, where I "sampled" some of their Pomegranate Wheat, and since I inappreciably always drink, I did not feel exceptional this morning.

I intended to do a full face o' warpaint today, but when I sabbatum downward in front of my makeup mirror, my arms felt like lead weights… My body was like, "Oh, hell naw, hookah. We're doing minimalist makeup today."

So, out came my tube of Big Easy, a new BB cream from Do good.

Cute packaging

Dude! This stuff is boss. I'm not usually a large BB foam fan, either, mostly considering I rarely feel similar they provide enough coverage for me.

Benefit Big Easy
It has a lightweight liquid-to-powder formula…

But Big Piece of cake evens out my skin tone and blurs my pores without leaving my skin looking overly "done," if you know what I hateful, and the natural-looking, velvety matte finish is my favorite thing almost information technology.

More quick and dirrrrty deets…

  • The oil-costless liquid-to-pulverisation formula is non-comedogenic.
  • Information technology's available in six shades. I wear the darkest one available, which is 06 Deep Beige.
  • The colors seem to be flexible with regard to working with your skin tone.
  • Contains broad-spectrum SPF 35.

It has an interesting texture — kind of glace like many face primers (it does contain silicones), and information technology glides across my skin easily, buffing and blending with very piffling resistance.

The matte stop looks very flat on my combination dry/oily pare — no shine whatsoever — and I tin can fifty-fifty skip setting it with a powder, which is squeamish. It stays matte, likewise, as the mean solar day wears on, and controls oil similar a champ.

Benefit Big Easy Ingredients
Ingredients…

I do find that Big Easy will settle into my pores and get a little streaky on my drier spots (like my cheeks) if I don't moisturize immediately beforehand, almost like the production skips a bit on those dry out patches. Benefit suggests applying it after moisturizer, and I can see why. It glides across my skin more smoothly when it'due south thoroughly moisturized.

I use my fingers to apply a sparse, sheer layer all over my face immediately afterward moisturizing, then buff it down with a kabuki brush to blend things out. After that, I pat another layer effectually my chin, cheeks and nose, which are the areas I commonly demand a picayune more help.

I definitely practice call back my pare looks more even when I'm done, and I swear my pores wait smaller.

Benefit Big Easy before and after
On the left, I'm not wearing any makeup (well, just Jouer Gloss in Chroma). On the right, I'm wearing the same gloss merely with Do good Large Easy in Shade 06 Deep Beige… That's information technology!

With coincidental, undressed skin like this, I like to stick to minimal makeup — under-centre concealer to hide my night circles, a bit of MAC Brun Eye Shadow to build out my brows and a couple coats of mascara. And so, a blush with a hint of shimmer to continue things from looking likewise flat (hither I'm wearing MAC Warm Soul) and a shiny nude lip gloss like Jouer Gloss in Blush.

Benefit Big Easy in 06 Deep Beige
Minimal makeup

I'm really quite fond of Big Easy. It doesn't experience heavy on my skin, does photograph well, and I can build information technology up or sheer it out. An absolutely lovely face production for casual makeup days.

That said…I recall the shade options for deeper peel tones are pretty lame. I wear the darkest of the six shades, 06 Deep Beige, and it's really not that dark.

I certain hope Benefit expands the range to include some darker skin tones in the future.
